Welcome to Fran. On paper Fran looks like a walk in the park. Turns out she's not. The good news is that all of you beat my time at Fran. The bad news is that Fran never gets easier. It is also the benchmark Crossfit work out. You meet another crossfitter the first thing they ask after where do you work out is, "What's your Fran time?" Fran generates a ton of power in a very short time.

Dylan, Tyler and Jess went first. As everyone else looked on it started to dawn on them that Fran may not be as easy as thought. They all rocked Fran. How do I know because they were all still messed up from it 45 minutes later.

Mark and Cindy were up next. We've been doing jumping pullups as part of our warmup but today we went big time. Ring Rows. Mark and Cindy seemed a little surprised at how tough they were but they dug deep and busted them out. Cindy, keep doing the rows and pullups are right around the corner.

Camilo and Jordan were the last to tackle Fran. Chris showed up a little late and was about half way through her warmup when it was time to hit Fran. Camilo and Jordan are quite the pair. Camilo always looks like he's ready to go and hit the WOD even during it and then at the end looks like a wreck. Jordan to put it nicely doesn't look happy during the WOD but at the end looks fairly pleased with herself. Chris is still working on the technique. I'm looking forward to the next class I coach because I have something up my sleeve (or on the floor) to make sure Jess and Chris have some integrity with the full Range of Motion on their squats.

At the end of class everyone took a crack at the rowers not for anything intense just to work on technique. Jess of course being the college rower that she was totally rocked it. I should have taken a seat and let her take over the coaching. Next time I will.
