Press-a-paloza

WOD
Press 1 – 1 -1
Push Press 3 – 3 – 3
Jerk Press 5 – 5 – 5

Standard Warm up.

We Worked our way through the Press progression skills. Set up two racks. I was immediately disappointed with my coaching skills. I thought I would start with 5-10lbs less everyone's 5 rep max and have them start there for 1 rep max. I was sadly mistaken. Strip the weight of the bars and start over.
The press went well. Other than Rebe claiming I skipped her every time but in the end she got all her sets in.
The push press everyone started off a little timid but as they closed in on their third set really started putting some omph (that's a technical term) into the dip drive. "Hey if you jump really hard you almost don't have to lift the weight" Ta-da.

The jerk, well the jerk is a technical move. Of course our golden child Susan hit it her first set. Everyone else progressed into it a little more slowly but by the last set were looking pretty decent. Granted the light was gone by then but I could almost make out your outlines.
